Fort Gibson FUMC Mission Statement:

To involve all church members in reaching out 
to the community and world through actions, resources, prayers and service.
 
 

How are we involved in mission at Ft. Gibson UMC?
 
 
Locally:  

 
Community Food Pantry (call for hours and criteria) 
Willey Road Clean up in May
Project Noel in December
Lake Ministry at Greenleaf State Park (Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend)
 
Nationally and Internationally:  
Financial support of Missionary Kristen Brown (Israel) 
UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) 
VIM (Volunteers in Missions Projects)
 
 

 
How can each person help further our church’s mission goals? 
 
1.      Support missions with your prayers.
 
2.     Participate actively in reaching goals
 
          (serve on committees, assist with work projects)
 
3.      Supporting goals financially
 
          (special project support and connectional giving*)                                                                        

 
 
Mission Opportunities
1.      Participate in Nursing Home Ministry 
2.      Support Front Door Ministry (with food)
3.      Help with Willey Road Cleanup in spring 
4.      Project Noel
5.       Serve as a short-term missionary by being a Volunteer in Missioner other VIM opportunities as coordinated by the Oklahoma VIM.
All are welcome to participate or donate to any of our projects. We meet the third Thursday of every month in the Parlor.
